Oh oh... This could become an interesting discussion. Would you care to explain this blunt affirmation, please? I do not disagree but would like more facts behind
Now that's a nice problem to have...
My laptop can give 35-65 fps so I did not cap it, obviously. Good cpu and ram, limited gpu so full grid do not take a too heavy toll.
I assume that you would not feel any difference capping at 100 or 120fps, while relieving your system.
Yep.
So that you will feel somewhat special being one of the few allowed by your distinguished peers to race there. Money should not more be an issue now that you have found the way to the true sim.
In fact you should not need money at all after a while, because iRental will enlighten you to the true drivingTM and you will become a Nascar / Formula 1 champion (you still have to select road or oval racing for your career).
All credit cards accepted.
Ah. So it MUST be this Laplace whatever messing up with you. If you want my advice a good hit between his eyes with a hammer onr any other tool of the same shape and weight might do the trick.
Always pleased to help
While LFS appeals to a wide range of sim racers (dedicated league racers, casual pickup racers, drifters, cruisers, wreckers ) iRental seems to be going for high income, highly dedicated or advertisement sensitive "latest gimmick addict" racers.
I can see Irental taking a part of the higly dedicated racers from LFS but the rest of the public will likely be unaffected. This sounds bad for LFS leagues, the impact on pick up races should however be minor.
Where I see a big difference is that standard competitors in sim racing world still "allow" a racer to use different sims, while with iRental the investment and continuous fees are so high that it will force more commitment - good for them, bad for other sims, very bad for your wallet.
I can not (and do not want to) give more time / dedication to sim racing and LFS suits me for its excellent ROI and instant pickup races, so I will not suscribe to iRental in the near future, however I would love to try it
wife / girlfriend (my case )
space (my case, laptop - no desk)
noise (my case, kids sleep when I race, and with the above no way)
money (it can take time to get by a good wheel for the youngers)
fear of addiction

Runs on nearly any system, impressive replay value.
Disclaimer: No graphics - ASCII game, RPG; lots of humour and incredibly difficult
probably the best free game I ever played.
True, you can add AI on every lesson and it even crashes the game from time to time - LFS also removes extra AIs from the replays. Maybe remove this possibility?
But what is the point of adding AIs to training lessons ?
Fantastic work on replays!
On my Swiss keyboard however the >< keys are not doing anything, rewind is ; and , for small and large increments, forward not found yet.
I think the demo has (had...RIP XRT) enough content for casual players to be entertained for years.
On the other hand the community and involvement of the devs, test patches process and suggestions show you, demo user, that LFS is a unique product. Just go ahead and read a few of Scawen's posts to realise it fully.
You should not buy a license to access more content but to repay the dev team for the fun you had and will have. That is your way to support the community and become an active part of it.
Thanks for reading
Sorry for those who remember it too well, and sorry for all short sized persons named Happy - this is only a joke and surely does not reflect the opinions of ... or any of its ... and ...
Depends on the efficiency of you A/C system and the temp you set it at...
and also at what speed you are driving
no easy answer there, but for newer cars a self regulating A/C not too cold (max 4-5°C below outside air temp) is more efficient that open windows outside the cities (from my own experiments, instant fuel consumption on screen so not utterly reliable).
Edit: and Tristan is right about the elderly lady taking 5 minute to reach 50km/h after the green light...

Reason : tristan was quicker
I spend a few days in Malta some years ago and the bus drivers have an interesting fuel saving technique:
Put it in neutral as soon as you reach the desired speed. Never brake except in emergency situations. Traffic lights are an indication vaguely similar to "use some caution when red".
Efficient but scary?
On a daily basis I try to anticipate as much as possible to avoid accelerating, keeping good distances with the cars ahead helps making a buffer for the nervous speed changes that take a high toll in your consumption.
Take it easy uphills,
do not carry useless stuff in your car,
close windows to reduce drag,
change gear up asap at steady speed,
check tyres pressure,
take the bus
Hey thanks for your query, I have checked out everything about you and I predict that your ideal job George Bush is a Office Gopher. Good luck in your new career.
